The Historic Rock Ford Foundation
The Rock Ford Foundation, a non-profit corporation initially formed to save the Historic Rock Ford from conversion to a landfill, has continuously struggled to maintain this local treasure. Through its efforts, visitors to Rock Ford are afforded the opportunity to learn about an important soldier, surgeon, and statesman while experiencing 18th Century life on a Pennsylvania "Country Gentleman's" estate.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Rock Ford Foundation exists to maintain and further develop Rock Ford Plantation, it's grounds, and outbuildings, and to promote knowledge of General Edward Hand's life and times for the cultural and educational benefit of the public.
The Rock Ford Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit tax-exempt organization incorporated within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on May 22, 1958. The Foundation is supported by memberships, gifts, grants, earned income from rental of the facilities, and fund-raising events.
